Haircut Anyone?
One of Stephen's friends and his brother from Branson,Mo. came to visit us this summer. Jessie was unable to find a job this summer. He really wanted a haircut but didn't have money for one so Stephen gave him a free one. Stephen learned to do this from some of his buddies. I think it will come in handy at college too.

What is in a name?
Here is Stephen with our old dog that looks similar to the dog that lives at our house. This was actually our first Sheltie named Tenebrae. Does anyone know that a Tenebrae is? It has some meaning for us but when you know what it means you think why would you name a dog that. Names have had meanings for years! What does your name mean? Have you ever looked it up? Do you live up to the meaning of your name or do you even want to?

My Senior!
It is hard to beleive but Stephen is going to be a senior this year. Wow time flies as many of you know. He plans to attend Indiana Wesleyan University but is unsure of his major yet. He loves nature, art, music, soccer, and filming. If you can think of a career with any of these let us know and I will pass them on to him. These are just a few of his senior pictures. I didn't want to bore you with all 20 of them. The first one is my favorite.

Today I went with a group from my church to help some victims of the flood in Columbus, Indiana. It was quite overwhelming. Stay tuned for pictures coming soon.

Tie Dying
Now here is a real messy job. My sister-in-law Rhonda heads this class up every year at KFC camp along with her helpers Amy, Macia, Marlane, and this year Erica joined in the fun. Just to let you know that dye does not come off easily.
Job Wanted
If you have any summer projects and you need a little extra muscle....call my son...he's needing work. He didn't quite get an early start on his applications for summer employment and he's been doing odd jobs here and there but he is pretty bored as you can see...ha
Mud Slide
KFC Camp
Rachel and Emily were counselors together this year at KFC. Here is a picture of them with one of their favorite soon to be campers ....Heidi. Their smiles crack me up you can tell they had to really work hard at smiling. This picture was taken on Wednesday when you are starting to get really, really tired. The did a great job and I was proud of them for doing it.
Hannah got braces
Hannah got her braces on about a week ago. She is doing well and her teeth are already looking straighter! Remarkable!
Summer Moonlight Night
I took this picture during the last full moon. It looks like two moons but I think I moved while taking the picture but I still thought it was cool.
Summer Projects
I really have negleted my blog and I won't go into my reasons for it, instead, I will post my new blog. Summer means getting those projects done that we just didn't have time for throughout the school year. One project that we have wanted to do for awhile is patch our driveway. Well, actually we wanted to replace it but when we got the estimate we almost had to go to the E.R. for heart failure. Concrete is so expensive! We had some friends visit from Branson who the guy is Mr. Fix It. He helped Steve patch the crater in our driveway. I got a kick out of their daughter Hannah who is 6th grade she is a daddy's girl and anything daddy is doing she is right beside him. Here are some pics of our project....

Past Students
One of the fun things about summer is getting a chance to connect with students from the past. Here are two graduates from 2004 I think? Laura and Cassie. I had lunch with Laura and supper with Cassie. Clarissa also came for supper but I didn't catch a picture of her. It's always fun to catch up on what is going on in their life. Laura will be finishing at IWU and Cassie will be finishing at Anderson. Cassie is working E.R. at the Cleveland Hospital this summer and hopes to be accepted for her masters at U.K. I am very proud of both of them!!!

Macedonia Trip 2008
I continue to post pictures of my trip to Macedonia because I have so many pictures to share. I really don't like having other pictures in the middle of other pictures. Although my friend Keetha has shared with me how to put pictures in at a different time...it just seems to be so much work. I hope you all will bear with me a little more as I continue to post pictures of our trip.
An Amazing Salad
My Support Group
These three amigos walked with me up the mountain in Macedonia. They were so patient with me. I will forever thank them for helping me. Hayley thanks for singing the "At the Cross" because that really helped. I will also never forget our stoning of the beetle. That was really crazy. I wish I had a picture of that to post Krista.
